Joining as a member means that we become an extension of your team. Join our incredible community of economic development peers across the state! Members are always willing to pick up the phone to share advice, ideas, or just listen. 

Get inspired by the innovative work happening around the state! Each meeting includes updates from members about projects in their local areas. Quarterly meetings also include guest presentations from speakers on hot topics impacting economic developers. Our educational content is designed for longtime professionals and new members of the field. There’s something for everyone at a MAPCED meeting! 

Build your leadership skills in a supportive environment! Join a committee as a member or as a Chair to share or expand your knowledge on specific topics. MAPCED is led by a five-person Executive Committee, comprised of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Past President. These positions are elected by the membership. Leadership with MAPCED is a great resume-builder and can help you gain confidence in your own leadership abilities! 

MAPCED is an affiliate organization of the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) which provides an avenue for legislative advocacy on policy priorities. MAPCED members can get involved with AMC’s Economic Development, Workforce, and Housing Policy (EDWH) Policy Subcommittee and have opportunities to testify at the Minnesota Legislature on areas of their expertise.
